The Careers with Animals Program has been operating for 12 years and has graduated students from all over the world. We have many successful students who have gone on after graduating this animal course to open dog daycares, open doggy delis, waste removal businesses and other animal related careers. We also have students who went on to veterinarian programs, graduated from zoology degree programs, started a nature reserve in Australia for Dingo Dogs, moved to California to work as animal wranglers in film and TV.
Some of the animal careers include Zoo Keeping, Animal Wrangling, how to operate your own animal business, and much more. Students are taught the ups and downs of running your own business and how to establish successful careers with animals.
The Career with Animals training program is an intensive 24 weeks, taught 1 evening a week and 1⁄2 day every Saturday. There are 4 projects to complete and 10 exams. Students learn basic zoo keeping and animal husbandry based on the Zoo Keepers Manual produced by Cor Jansen, world renowned zoo consultant and curator of zoos such as the Assiniboine Zoo and the Honolulu Zoo. This program is a great information source for animal related careers.
The wrangling portion of the program teaches set etiquette, animal safety and training. Manuals for both the zoo keeping portion and animal wrangling portion are part of your course material and yours to keep. The manuals you receive took years to compile and will be a valuable resource for careers with animals.

The Junior Zoo Keeping Course is for teens aged 13 to 17 years old who are interested in careers with animals. The course includes 8 weeks of learning and working with animals. Students learn to train a domestic rat and do 3 other animal projects. This course is perfect for exploring possible careers with animals.
Students learn many aspects of zoo keeping and animal care. The Junior Zoo Keeping Course is only $230 (CAD) and includes topics such as pest control, animal husbandry, zoo safety, animal characteristics and animal behaviors.
